2010 Chardonnay
The 2010 Chardonnay again hails from Rancho Sarco Vineyard in Napa’s southern Coombsville region and pending AVA. It displays a light straw color with aromas of pear, hazelnut and lemon zest. A touch of honey and light barrel caramels accent flavors of lemon custard, pineapple, granny smith apple and wet stone. This wine was fermented using native yeast to promote an exotic flavor and aromatic profile. Only 25% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation, thus preserving Chardonnay’s inherent crisp acidity.
